The Writing Performance Accelerator

A structured, year-long writing program designed to develop confident, capable writers who can think clearly, structure ideas effectively, and perform at a higher academic level.

This is not homework help.

It is deliberate writing training for students in Years 2–6 who are ready to stretch their thinking and develop strong communication skills.

Why Writing Is the Skill That Changes Everything

Writing is one of the most important academic skills a child will develop.

It affects performance across subjects, from English and humanities to exams that require clear thinking and structured responses.

Yet many students are expected to produce strong writing without ever being explicitly taught how to construct it.

They are asked to:

• organise ideas clearly
• build strong sentences
• develop thoughtful arguments
• write complete responses under time pressure

But without structured instruction, writing can feel overwhelming.

The Writing Performance Accelerator teaches students how writing actually works.

How Students Develop Strong Writing

Rather than relying on vague prompts or random practice, students are taught the architecture of writing step by step.

Across the year, they learn to develop four core capabilities:

Sentence Control
Students learn to construct clear, confident sentences that communicate ideas precisely.

Paragraph Structure
Ideas are organised logically so responses feel cohesive and purposeful.

Vocabulary & Expression
Students expand their language so writing sounds more thoughtful and mature.

Performance Under Pressure
Students practise completing full responses within time limits, building confidence for assessments.

Over time, writing becomes clearer, faster, and more confident.

A Structured Year of Writing Development

The Writing Performance Accelerator follows a carefully designed yearly structure that allows students to progressively develop skill, confidence, and control.

Each term focuses on a different dimension of writing.

Term 1 — Writing Foundations & NAPLAN Readiness

The first term follows the long summer break, making it the ideal time to rebuild writing stamina and structure.

Students practise constructing full texts within clear time limits while revising core writing skills.

Narrative Writing

Students learn how to plan and construct a complete narrative within 25 minutes, focusing on pacing, structure, and strong storytelling.

Persuasive Writing

Students practise building persuasive responses with clear arguments and logical reasoning.

Poetry

Poetry allows students to experiment with language, develop vocabulary, and express ideas creatively.

This term builds the confidence and structure students need for the rest of the year.

Term 2 — Descriptive Writing Mastery

Term 2 focuses on the craft of writing at the sentence and paragraph level.

Rather than producing long texts, students zoom in on the detail of language.

They learn to develop:

• vivid description
• precise vocabulary
• sentence variety
• powerful imagery
• clear paragraph structure

This term strengthens the technical foundations that allow students to write stronger texts later in the year.

Term 3 — Persuasive Writing & Argument

Students learn how persuasive texts are structured and how strong arguments are developed.

They explore:

• persuasive structure
• voice and tone
• audience awareness
• persuasive devices
• supporting ideas with examples

Students learn to express their opinions clearly and construct arguments that are thoughtful and convincing.

Term 4 — Narrative Craft

The final term focuses on the art of storytelling.

Students analyse strong mentor texts and explore how authors construct engaging narratives.

They develop skills in:

• character development
• setting and atmosphere
• engaging openings
• plot development and twists
• satisfying conclusions

By the end of the year, students write with greater creativity, confidence, and control.

What Makes This Program Different

Unlike typical tutoring sessions, the Writing Performance Accelerator is designed as a structured coaching environment where students develop real writing capability over time.

Small Group Coaching
Maximum 5 students per class ensures every student receives personalised guidance and meaningful feedback.

Explicit Instruction
Students are shown how writing works — how to structure ideas, refine sentences, and build strong responses.

Weekly Writing Practice
Students receive a focused writing task each week to continue developing their skills between lessons.

Detailed Feedback & Guidance
Each piece of work is reviewed with thoughtful feedback so students understand how to elevate their ideas and strengthen their writing.

Exposure to Excellent Writing
Students study strong mentor texts to understand what powerful writing looks like and how great writers craft their work.

The Writing Transformation Guarantee™

If your child attends consistently, completes weekly work, and applies feedback, you will see measurable improvement in writing structure, clarity, and confidence within one term.

If that progress does not occur — you don’t pay.

We don’t focus on worksheets.

We develop writers who think clearly and communicate confidently.

Is This Program Right for Your Child?

Students who thrive in this environment are:

• curious about learning
• willing to challenge themselves
• open to feedback and improvement

When students are placed in a room where effort and growth are the norm, they often rise faster than they expected.

Book a Consultation

A consultation allows us to understand your child’s current challenges, identify learning gaps, and determine whether the program is the right fit.
